PADEL VS Guide: Everything You Need to Know
Welcome to PADEL VS. Whether you just heard the name for the first time or have been on the platform for weeks and still do not fully understand how it works, this article is for you. Here is everything: the ranking, categories, tournaments, retas, the ambassador system and the WhatsApp bot. One read and you are ready to go.
What Is PADEL VS?
PADEL VS is a digital platform for the padel ecosystem in Mexico and Latin America. It serves three main purposes:
- For players: official ranking, tournament registration, informal retas and progress tracking.
- For clubs: court, tournament and player management from a centralized panel.
- For everyone: access via web at app.padelvs.com and via WhatsApp — no app download required.
There is no mobile app to install. Everything works from your browser or your existing WhatsApp.
Ranking and Categories
What Counts for the Public Ranking?
Only tournaments organized by PADEL VS. Retas do not appear in the public table. This ensures every ranked player has been validated under equal conditions.
You appear in the ranking when you play your first PADEL VS tournament.
Table Sort Order
- Wins (more wins = higher position)
- Losses (fewer losses = better position on ties)
- ELO (final tiebreaker)

The category you declare at registration is your minimum floor: you never drop below it even if your ELO falls. For full ranking engine details, read how the PADEL VS ranking works.
How to Play a Tournament
- Find a tournament at app.padelvs.com or ask the WhatsApp bot.
- Form your pair — tournaments are doubles format, registered per pair.
- Choose your category — up to 8 categories per tournament.
- Compete: group phase (round-robin) → KO bracket → final.
- Scores validated by the club scorekeeper. Unvalidated results do not enter the ranking.

Bonuses apply automatically within 15 minutes of the final ending.
Ambassador System
Any player who has completed at least one PADEL VS tournament is an ambassador. Their ELO is a reliable reference point.
Reta against an ambassador: you calibrate at 100% against the ambassador's level. The ambassador's ELO stays unchanged.
Reta against another non-validated player: both calibrate at 30% — a soft signal.
Recommended path for new players: play 2-3 retas against ambassadors → check your estimated ELO → register for a tournament at the right category.
Retas: Informal Matches
Retas are informal matches between any players on the platform. They do not appear in the public ranking but do move your internal ELO and feed the ambassador calibration system.
Use retas for practice and calibration. Use tournaments to build your public ranking position.
WhatsApp Bot
The PADEL VS WhatsApp bot gives you quick platform access without opening a browser. Text "Hola" to the PADEL VS WhatsApp number to get started. The bot guides you from the first message. No prior account needed: your phone number is your identity.
From the bot you can: view upcoming tournaments, check your ELO and ranking, log reta results, and receive match and bracket notifications.
